The BBC reports that hackers have leaked LinkedIn passwords onto a Russian web site. The passwords are encrypted but the hackers have invited users to help decrypt them. Standard advice in these situations is to change your LinkedIn password and any other account that uses the same password – especially if you use the same email address for both accounts.
In general it is good practice not to use the same password for multiple accounts, and to use long passwords with mixed case letters and symbols to hinder brute-force decryption efforts.
