Information technology in Formula 1 can make the difference between winning and losing. Like all F1 teams, Marussia F1 make significant use of technology in the design and development of their car. This includes extensive use of computer models and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to test aerodynamic set-ups and part configurations, powered by ultra high performance supercomputers. The car also has dozens of on-board sensors to gather data about its performance on track and relay this back to pitlane computers in real time.
