File sharing sites in India blocked; Anonymous responds with attack

Notorious hacking group Anonymous has attacked government sites in India after a court ordered ISPs in the country to block popular sites such as The Pirate Bay and Vimeo.

14 sites were attacked in total, including the Supreme Court, two political parties, and the IT ministry, using Anonymous’ now-standard Distributed Denial of Service attacks. The group’s previous efforts include attacks on government sites in the UK and in China.
